Cornelia H. "Connie" Maniatty

1930-2013 NORTH ADAMS Cornelia H. (Connie) Maniatty died peacefully at home Sept, 25, 2013. She is survived by her husband, Hermes S. Maniatty, whome she married on Sept. 4, 1955, in North Adams. In addition to her husband, Connie is survived by her daughter, Susan Watters of Groton, Mass., and her son, Steven Maniatty of Greenfield; grandchildren, Robert Watters Jr., of Groton Mass., Alexandra Watters of Boynton Beach, Fla., Sara Maniatty of New York City, N.Y. and Sam Maniatty of Bernardston, Mass.; sisters-in-law, Demetra Avdoulos of Glastonbury, Conn., Betty Maniatty of Darien, Conn., and Elizabeth Maniatty of Simsbury, Conn.; brothers-in-law, Christopher Maniatty of Greenfield and Perry Maniatty of Saco, Maine; and cousin, Calliope Shenas of Stuart, Fla., as well as several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her brothers, William Avdoulos and Simeon Avdoulos, and her sister, Joanne Avdoulos. The family wishes to thank Deb, Jackie, and the rest of the staff of Hospice of Franklin County for their kindness and support. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held Monday, Sept. 29, 2013, at 11 a.m. at St. James Episcopal Church, 8 Church St., Greenfield Mass. with the Rev. Fr. Chris Moody and the Rev. Dr. Harry Vulopas officiating. There will be a period of visitation from 10 a.m. until the service begins. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hospice of Franklin County, 329 Conway Street, Suite 2, Greenfield, MA 01301, or Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 410 Main Street, Holyoke, MA 01040.
