1939 - 2014 NORTH ADAMS David Carl Lewis 74, of 42 Apache Dr. died Saturday Aug. 23, 2014 at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield. He was born in North Adams on Sept. 3, 1939 a son of the late Baden and Violet (Larabee) Lewis. He graduated from Drury High School. Dave was a self employed caterer and for many years, the director of food service and manager of the North Adams Country Club and the North Adams American Legion. He was a member of the pitch and cribbage leagues at the legion. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, playing all card games and the horses. Dave loved spending time with his grandchildren and traveling to Lake George. His wife Leona (O'Reilly) Lewis died Oct. 27, 2011. Survivors include; a daughter, Deborah Kendall and her husband, Carl of Pittsfield, a son David Michael Lewis and his fiancee, Kimberly White of Middleboro, Mass., five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, step-children, Sandra Richardson and her husband, Kyle of Adams, Christopher Deluca of Naples, Fla. and Thomas Chandler and his wife, Diane of Jacksonville, Fla., three sisters, Dianne Hein of Clarksburg, Patricia McConnell and Cynthia Emery of North Adams and three brothers, William Lewis of Williamstown, Thomas Lewis and Foster Lewis of North Adams. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral Services to celebrate David C. Lewis life will take place Thursday at 7 p.m. at the FLYNN DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams.
