Deborah Horgan Spring

1954 - 2014 PITTSFIELD Deborah Horgan Spring, 60, of Providence Court, died Monday at her home. Born in Pittsfield, March 23, 1954, the daughter of Joyce Hart Horgan and the late Gerald R. Horgan, she was a 1972 graduate of Lenox Memorial High School and earned her Associates Degree in Secretarial Studies from Berkshire Community College in 1974. Debbie was employed for twenty five years by General Electric Co., later General Dynamics, in the Human Resources Department, and most recently had worked in the same capacity for Dr. Warren J. Barry of Pittsfield. She loved boating and swimming and spending time each summer at Lake Champlain in Vermont. Survivors include her mother, Joyce Hart Horgan, of Lenox; one sister, Kim Marie Taglieri and her husband, Tom, of Pittsfield; one brother, Brian J. Horgan of Lenox; her nephew, Ben Taglieri and his wife, Heather; nieces Lindsay Cermack and husband, Noah, and Heather Horgan; her sister, Tanya Parker; uncles, Roger Hart and his wife, Sandy, and Ken Hart and his wife, Sally; her aunt, Anne Hart, and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was predeceased in February by her loving companion of many years, Lou Carpinello, and her uncle, Jerry Hart. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral of Deborah Horgan Spring of Pittsfield, who died May 12, 2014, will be conducted Friday, May 16, 2014, at 10 a.m. at the ROCHE FUNERAL HOME in Lenox, by the Rev. Richard Hayes, Chaplain at Hospice Care of the Berkshires. Burial will follow in St. Ann's Cemetery in Lenox. A period of visitation at the funeral home will precede the service from 9:30 to 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in Debbie's memory may be made to Moments House in care of the funeral home, 120 Main Street, Lenox, MA 01240.
