Elaine H. Love

1928-2012 Mrs. Elaine Hazel (Bell) Love, 84, of 7 Glendale Drive, Adams, died Thursday, December 6, 2012, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.

She was born in St. Stephen, New Brunswick, Canada, on February 20, 1928, a daughter of the late Roy and Emma Rhetta (McKay) Bell. She attended schools in Milltown, NB, and graduated from St. Stephen Business College on June 29, 1946.

She married C. Richard Love on June 19, 1950 in Milltown, NB, and became a US Citizen on June 8, 1989.

Mrs. Love was first employed as a secretary in school systems in Maine. She came to Adams in 1964, and became Assistant Librarian at the Adams Free Library in 1965, remaining there until her retirement in 1989 after 24 years of service.

She was an active member of the First Congregational Church of Adams, where she was a Sunday school teacher, deaconess, and church secretary for many years.

She enjoyed knitting, reading, her church, and especially spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 62 years, C. Richard Love; two sons, Larry R. Love of Arlington, Texas and C. Randall Love of Rhinebeck, N.Y.; a daughter, Kathryn E. Perras and her husband, Peter, of Cheshire; her granddaughters, Marlo L. Livsey and her husband, Mark, of Pittsfield, and Erica Perras of North Adams; her twin great grandsons, Aaron L. and Joshua M. Livsey; and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Dorothy Pryor and Laura Adlaide Bell, and by a brother, Robert Bell.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 11th, at 10 a.m. in the First Congregational Church, Park St. (Rte. 8) Adams. Rev. Mike Mullany, Pastor, will officiate.

Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.

Calling hours at PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, are Monday from 4 to 7 p.m.
