Elio Ernest Menatti

1928 - 2014 LEE Elio Ernest Menatti died on April 2, 2014, at the Old Soldier's Home in Holyoke. He was born in Cedrasco, Italy on July 25, 1928, and came to America when he was 8 years old. He graduated from Lee High School and served in the U.S. Army in Korea during the Korean War. He retired from Kimberly Clark in Lee and was the proprietor of the Lenoxdale Package Store for many years. He married Margaret Riiska on Oct. 27, 1956, and they had four children, Mary Menatti, Peter Menatti, Joan Bruno, and Sara DiNicola; his brothers and sisters, Marie L'Heureux, Josephine Moquin, Joseph Menatti, Ann O'Brien, and Victor Menatti; eleven grandchildren, Katherine and Josephine Landers, Samuel, Ruth, Nathan, Naomi and Raphael Bruno, and Tara, David, Dhani and Anna DiNicola. He was predeceased by his youngest sister, Victoria Roddy. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral Mass for Ernest Menatti will be on Friday, April 4 at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul in Lenoxdale, celebrated by Fr. Christopher J. Waitekus, Pastor. Burial will be at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lee Lions Club in care of the ROCHE FUNERAL HOME, 120 Main Street, Lenox, MA 01240.
