Eloise "Pokey" Kalker, a resident of Williamstown and an active member of the community passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield.Born in Harlan, Kentucky, Pokey was pre-deceased by her parents, James Washington Ledford and Susan Cawood Ledford as well as her two brothers, Cawood and James Ledford. She received her degree at Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio.
Pokey loved to entertain her many friends, was an avid golfer, and bridge player. She is the widow of Philp E. Kalker of Williamstown.
She is survived by daughter, Katherine Kalker of Williamstown, daughter and son-in-law Ginger and Robert E. Sutton, Jr. of Gladstone, N.J., and her son Peter Kalker and his wife Tammy of Gansevoort, N.Y.
Pokey will be missed by her grandchildren; Raleigh, Jack and Luke Sutton and Cadigan and Bryndelyn McNeary.
Services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
