Florence E. Hussey

1920 - 2012 NORTH ADAMS Florence Edith (Walden) Hussey, 91, formerly of Walnut Street in North Adams, died Sunday, Oct. 21, at the Ridgewood Health Center in Bedford, N.H.

She was born in North Adams on Nov. 3, 1920, daughter of Frederick and Lillian (Collette) Walden. She attended schools in North Adams. She was first employed at the Clark Biscuit Co. and then at the Cornish Wire Co. She was last employed as an Assistant Supervisor at the North Adams Regional Hospital until her retirement. After her retirement, her passion was traveling with her friends and three generations of family. She was a former communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church in North Adams.

Her husband was William Morton Hussey, whom she married Nov. 21, 1937, in Haverhill, Mass. Mr. Hussey died on Aug. 22, 2002.

She is survived by one daughter, Donna Hussey of Hollis, N.H. She also leaves two grandchildren, Jody Graves of Plymouth, Mass., and Tiffany Rotolo of Mount Vernon, N.H., and two great-granddaughters, Alexis Lane and Siena Paige Blastos. She leaves one sister and brother-in-law, Mrs. Geraldine Leonesio and her husband, John, of Williamstown, Mass., several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Frederick, Richard and Paul Walden.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will take place on Saturday, Oct. 27, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at the FLYNN AND DAGNOLI FUNERAL HOME, WEST CHAPEL, 521 West Main Street, North Adams. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery There are no calling hours.
