1920-2014 PITTSFIELD Mrs. Geraldine E. Healy, 93, formerly of April Lane, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 10, 2014 at Craneville Place of Dalton, surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 16, 1920, the daughter of Paul W. and Theodora Pelkey Dixon, she was a graduate of Pittsfield High School. Mrs. Healy worked as a Dietary Aide at Berkshire Medical Center for 30 years, retiring in 1990. Geraldine enjoyed gardening and playing Bingo, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. She leaves her three children, Linda L. Healy of Franklin, Dennis Healy and his wife Darleen of Lanesborough and Paul D. Healy and his wife Ruth of Pittsfield; a sister, Beverly Tremblay of Coral Gables, Fla.; six grandchildren, Desiree Twardowski, Todd Olesiuk, Joshua, Jordan, Jeremy and Patrick Healy and three great grandchildren, Nicholas and Madeleine Twardowski and Nicholas Spezzaferro-Healy; a godson and nephew, Andre Tremblay and his companion Robbin LaBonte. She was predeceased by her former husband, Lawrence J. Healy; a brother, Paul W. Dixon Jr.; and a sister, Ruth Quinlan Black. The family of Geraldine E. Healy would like to thank the staff of Craneville Place for their care and support. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Mrs. Geraldine E. Healy will be Friday, February 14, 2014 at 10 a.m. at the DWYER FUNERAL HOME, 776 North St., Pittsfield MA with the Rev. A. Peter Gregory, pastor of St. Charles Church, officiating. Burial will follow in Pittsfield Cemetery.
