James J. Izzo
1963-2013 Mr. James J. Izzo, 49, of Pittsfield passed away Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield on December 30, 1963 the son of Joseph A. and Anne T. Mullen Izzo, he was a 1981 graduate of Lenox Memorial High School and also attended Cape Cod Community College. Mr. Izzo worked as a self-employed carpenter for many years. He enjoyed making trips to Florida to spend time with his parents. Jim was an avid sports fan; he played baseball in several Pittsfield youth leagues and High School Baseball for Lenox Memorial. He was a devout New York Yankee and Pittsburgh Steelers Fan. He also loved music and would be quick to entertain family and friends lip-syncing to whatever song may be playing. He will be remembered for his outgoing personality, great sense of humor and love of life. Besides his parents of New Smyrna Beach, Fl he leaves a son, Alex Chrostowski of North Adams; two sisters, Carol Kearns and her husband David and Patricia Monti and her husband Rick and a brother Bob Izzo all of Pittsfield; a sister in law, Wanda Izzo; nieces and nephews, Chris, Michael, Colleen, Kellie and Tricia; great nieces and nephews, Jake, Conner, Kaylee, Kacie, Jarred, Joey, Keith and Kylie. He was predeceased by his two brothers, Joseph W. Izzo who died on August 31, 2006 and John J. Izzo, who died on June 2, 2012. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mr. James J. Izzo, will be Friday, September 20, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Charles Church celebrated by the Rev. Michael C. Lillpopp, Parochial Vicar. Burial will be private.
