Jean Marie Beauchemin

1956-2013 ADAMS Mrs. Jean Marie (Tarsa) Beauchemin, 57, of 16 Wenzel Terrace, Adams, died on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Adams on January 18, 1956, a daughter of the late Raymond and Lillian (Wegrzyn) Tarsa. She attended schools in Adams and graduated from Hoosac Valley High School with the class of 1974. She then received her Associates Degree in Gerontology from Berkshire Community College in 1976 and went on to receive her Bachelor's Degree in Social Work and Gerontology from Syracuse University in 1978.

Mrs. Beauchemin had been the Executive Director for the Pittsfield Council on Aging for many years until retiring in 2010. Earlier she had been the Executive Director of the Adams Council on Aging.

She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams. She enjoyed gardening, genealogy and rescuing animals.

She is survived by her husband Richard L. Beauchemin, Jr, whom she married on August 18, 1979; one son; Scott Beauchemin and his wife Elizabeth of Pittsfield; one daughter; Susan Beauchemin and her fiance Eric Curro of Pittsfield; one brother; Jack Tarsa and his wife Barbara of Adams; one sister; Betsy Wells and her husband Daniel of Palm Harbor, Fla.; six Nephews, four Nieces, two Great Nieces and several cousins.

FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be on Wednesday, January 30th at 9 a.m. from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, celebrated by Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, Pastor.

Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery.

Calling hours are Tuesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
