Joseph F. Asci

PITTSFIELD -- Joseph Francis Asci, 69, of 2205 Dade Road, Fort Pierce, Fla., formerly of Pittsfield, died Saturday, March 26, at home.

Born in Pittsfield on Sept. 3, 1935, son of Joseph N. Asci Jr.and Frances M. Carlotto Asci, he graduated in 1953 from Pittsfield High School, where he had studied mechanics in the vocational school. He had resided in Lanesboro, then in Dania, Fla., before moving to Fort Pierce in 1996.

Mr. Asci was employed as an automotive mechanic in Florida. He had earlier worked at Stiles Service Station before operating the Asci Mobile Service Station on South Street, both in Lanesboro.

He and his wife, the former Eloise Ann Witter, were married Oct. 15, 1955, in Mount Carmel Church.

Besides his wife, he leaves four sons, Victor A. Asci of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Joseph N. Asci III of Dania, and Peter A. Asci and Frank A. Asci, both of Fort Pierce, and a daughter, Angela L. Asci of Fort Pierce.

FUNERAL NOTICE -- Joseph Francis Asci, 69, died March 26, 2005, at 2205 Dade Road, Fort Pierce, Fla. he was predeceased by his parents, Joseph N. Asci and Frances M. Carlotto Asci, formerly of Housatonic. He also was predeceased by his uncle, Peter N. Asci of Pittsfield. Survivors include an aunt, Angela Hayden of Housatonic, and cousins Eleanor Lamy and Jean Spiriti, both of Pittsfield. Services were held in Fort Pierce. FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., was in charge of local arrangements.
