L. Paul Brazeau

1934-2014 Mr. L. Paul Brazeau, 80 of North Adams, died Tuesday March 4, 2014 at Berkshire Medical Center. He was born in North Adams, on March 4, 1934, the youngest of ten children of Edward and Rachel (Perrault) Brazeau. Paul graduated from the former Notre Dame Grammar School in 1948 and from Drury High School in 1952, where he played football and basketball. Paul spent four years in the US Navy and was honorably discharged in 1956 as a medical corpsman attached to the 1st Marine Division-Fleet Marine Force. He graduated from Bryant College, located at the time in Providence, RI in 1959, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Finance. Paul retired from the General Electric Co. in 1992. He worked in the Accounting Section of the Ordnance Systems Dept. for 32 years. He was a longtime member of the GE Elfun Society, as well as the Berkshire County Retired Men's Club. He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church and the former St. Anthony of Padua Church. Survivors include his wife, the former Carmela T. Mancuso, whom he married in 1960 in St. Anthnoy of Padua Church; a brother, Eldor Brazeau of North Adams and two sisters, Roma Morris and Beatrice Bissaillon of North Adams; four sisters-in-law, Caroline Brazeau of North Adams, Rita Trifone and Frances Schmidt; a brother-in-law, Peter Mancuso;and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by six brothers including Vincent, Raymond, Charles, Valmore, Edmond, and Francis Brazeau. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Paul Brazeau will be celebrated Monday March 10, 2014 at 11:00 AM at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview cemetery. A calling hour will be held at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS, CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA on Monday from 9:30 to 10:30 AM.
