1931-2014 WILLIAMSTOWN Maureen Frances King Depew R.N., 82, of 17 May Street, Williamstown, died on Monday, February 3, 2014 at the home of her daughter and son-in-law at 855 Dockbridge Way, Milton, Ga. he was born in North Adams, on December 3, 1931 a daughter of the late Francis King and Adele (Betit) King. She attended St. Joseph's grammar school and graduated from St. Joseph's High School with the class of 1949. She then attended St. Luke's Hospital School of Nursing graduating with the class of 1952. Mrs. Depew was a Registered Nurse employed at the North Adams Regional Hospital for 33 years in the pediatrics department and nursery. She worked two years at the Downtown Adult Day Care Center in North Adams. She was last employed at the former Willowood Nursing Home now the North Adams Commons. She was a communicant of Sts. Patrick and Raphael Church in Williamstown where she served as a lector. She was a former member of the American Nurses Association. She enjoyed reading, travel and cooking, and the companionship of her pets. She was truly a devoted wife and mother. Mrs. Depew was the widow of David George Depew. They were married on June 25, 1955 in St. Francis Church in North Adams. Mr. Depew died December 12, 2006. Survivors include three daughters, Valerie R. Huban and her husband, Christopher of Orlando, Fla., Michele M. Mank of Lakeland, Fla., and Diane Hood and her husband Matthew of Milton, Ga., as well as a son, Mark A. Depew and his wife, Sabine of Germany. She also leaves nine grandchildren and a brother, Thomas R. King of Cheshire. FUENRAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Maureen Depew will take place on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Sts. Patrick and Raphael Church in Williamstown at 10:00 A.M. Burial will follow in the Eastlawn Cemetery. Calling Hours will be held on Saturday morning from 8:30-9:30a.m. at the Flynn and Dagnoli- Montagna Home for Funerals, WEST CHAPEL, 521 West Main St. North Adams, MA.
