Michael R. Amuso
1988 - 2014 PITTSFIELD Michael Ryan Amuso, 25, of 42 Backman Ave., died Friday morning, June 27, 2014, at Berkshire Medical Center. Born in Pittsfield on July 2, 1988, the son of Daniel and Joyce Chucka Amuso, he was a lifelong resident of Pittsfield and a 2006 graduate of Taconic High School. He was employed as an assembler at the former Chemex Corp. for two years. Mike served in the United States Air Force where he received firefighting training. He was a certified firefighter
, level 1 and 2, in the Air Force and was also an airport firefighter while stationed at Eglin AFB. It was his dream to be appointed as a third generation firefighter following his grandfather and father in the Pittsfield Fire Department. Mike enjoyed happy times with Carrie and their children from the amusement parks to family game nights and campfires in the yard roasting marshmallows for s'mores. He spent endless hours while growing up driving around with family, listening, joking and laughing. Concerts and standup comedy were a couple of his favorite pastimes. He was an avid sports fan, especially when it came to the New York Yankees. He shared a love with his brother, Dan, since they were kids, listening to the games on the radio while having a pass in the yard. Mike was intelligent, hilarious, loyal, strong-headed, kind hearted and very much loved. He was proud to have been a tissue and organ donor knowing that his donation would help others in the future. Survivors besides his parents of Pittsfield include his partner, Carrie, and seven children, Michael Fogle of Destin, Fla., Alexis Fogle, Harley Lee, George Lee, Maryjane Lee, Daniel Amuso and Dennis Amuso, all of Pittsfield.
