Mildred Evelyn Drumm Bonn Gleason

1929-2013 Mildred Evelyn Drumm Bonn Gleason, 83, of Stockbridge and Great Barrington died peacefully on March 25, at Laurel Lake, in Lee, surrounded by her family.

She was born in Great Barrington on July 2, 1929, daughter of Fenton and Louise Wade Drumm. Mildred was a 1947 graduate of Searles High School. She went to hairdressing school and was a hairdresser for 25 years. She worked at Becton Dickinson in Canaan, Conn. for 17 years and retired in 1991.

Mildred leaves her loving family, two sons, Thomas Bonn and his wife, Sophie, of Great Barrington, and Leigh Bonn and his wife, Heidi, of Littleton, Colo.; daughter-in-law Brenda from El Cajon, Calif.; step children, Kenneth and Janice Gleason of North Carolina; grandchildren, Bonnie Bonn-Buffoni, Amy, Jason and Rebecca Bonn; great-grandchildren, Michael, Max, Marco, Mason, Mateo, Hunter, Grace and Evelyn; and two surviving brothers, Robert Drumm of Ohio and David Drumm of California.

Her son, Mark Bonn, predeceased her in April 2008. Her husband, William Gleason, whom she married on December 18, 1971, predeceased her on March 21, 1996. Her first husband, John E. Bonn, of Sheffield, predeceased her in 1966.

A graveside funeral service for Mildred Evelyn Drumm Bonn Gleason, who died March 25 will be held on Friday March 29, at 11 a.m. in Elmwood Cemetery, Great Barrington. Family will receive friends on Thursday, March 28, from 4 to 6 p.m. at the BIRCHES-ROY FUNERAL HOME, 33 South Street, Great Barrington, MA 01230.
