Olga Jeane Homich

PITTSFIELD Olga Jeane Homich passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday, March 12, 2014. After graduating from Pittsfield High School, she worked at Pittsfield General Electric before transferring to International General Electric in New York City. Having grown up on a farm in the Berkshires, Jeane returned to country living in her move to Woodbury, Conn. There, Jeane spent many happy hours feeding birds, chipmunks, squirrels, turkeys, deer and other wild life that visited her lovingly tended flower gardens. She spent many hours in devotion to Christ The Savior Orthodox Church and its community. Jeane was predeceased by her parents, Stephen and Pauline Brushkevich Homich; seven brothers and three sisters, Peter, Charles, Michael, Stephen, John, Alexander, Joseph, Mary Quirk, Sophie Collins and Nina Kazura. Jeane was a light in the life of her twenty-six nieces and nephews. Family and friends will miss her. FUNERAL NOTICE: Visiting hours will be Friday evening, March 14, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Christ The Savior Orthodox Church. At 7:30 p.m., a memorial service will be held. The Funeral service will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will be held on Monday, March 17 at 12 p.m. in Pittsfield.
