Patrick P. Hayes
1950 - 2013 PITTSFIELD Mr. Patrick P. Hayes, 62, of 65 Bryan St., died Tuesday, May 14, at the Berkshire Medical Center.
Born in Pittsfield on August 1, 1950 he was the son of the late Francis J. and Margaret M. Collins Hayes. Pat was a lifelong resident of Pittsfield and attended local schools.
He was employed as a steamfitter for the Pittsfield Pipers for many years, retiring in 2002.
He was a U.S. Marine Veteran
serving in the Vietnam War
and was a Purple Heart
He was a member of the D.A.V. and a communicant of St. Charles Church.
Pat enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, woodworking, reading and traveling.
He leaves his wife, the former Erin Grandshaw, whom he married Sept. 24, 1993; three daughters, Jennifer Schnopp (Kevin), Erinn Fiorini (Matt), and Meghan Arnhold (Ken); two stepdaughters, Brooke Kamienski (Brett), and Alexa Bermudez(Camilo); 13 grandchildren Kerstin, Lindsey and Allison Schnopp, Natalie, Marlee, and Kenadi Arnhold, Hailey, Victoria and Anthony Fiorini, Luke, Owen and Jackson Kamienski and Cruz Bermudez; six sisters, Margaret Percy, Helen Hayes Barbiero, Mary Quinto, Brigid Hayes Rufo, Elizabeth Hayes Flynn and Annie Hayes Girardi; five brothers, William, James, Robert, John and Joseph Hayes.
He also leaves his former wife Debbie Coulter Charbonneau
He was predeceased by a brother, Francis "Chico" Hayes.
FUNERAL NOTICE: Mr. Patrick P. Hayes died Wednesday, May 14.
Funeral services will be Saturday, May 18, at 8 a.m. from the DWYER FUNERAL HOME with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Charles Church, celebrated by the Rev. A. Peter Gregory, pastor.
Burial with full military honors will follow in St. Josephs Cemetery.
Calling hours will be at the DWYER FUNERAL HOME on Friday, May 17, from 4 to 7.
