NORTH ADAMS -- Ronald David Adams, 65, of 14 South St. died Wednesday afternoon at his home.
Born in Adams on May 22, 1940, son of David Dailey Adams and Veronica Rose Tomkiewicz Adams, he attended schools in Adams and North Adams, and graduated from the former St. Joseph's High School in 1959.
An Army veteran, he served from 1961 to 1963.
Mr. Adams was last employed at GE in Pittsfield. His first job was as a cook at the former Elwal Pines in Williamstown.
He was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church. He enjoyed playing bingo and cards.
He leaves a sister, Lynda Sherman of Plainfield, and a brother, David D. Adams Jr. of North Adams.
FUNERAL NOTICE --
Services for Ronald Adams will be Saturday, May 28, 2005, at 8 at the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., followed by a Funeral Mass at 8:45 at St. Francis' Church. Burial will be in Southview Cemetery. Calling hours will be Friday from 4 to 7 at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home. Survivors include a nephew, James LaFrance of Savoy; three nieces, Jennifer Risch, Trista Bliss and Barbara LaFrance of North Adams; 10 grandnieces and grandnephews; cousins, and one aunt and uncle.
