Theodosia Bury "Toddy"

1925 - 2012 Mrs. Theodosia T. "Toddy" (Kurdziel) Bury, 86, passed peacefully into the arms of her loving God and Savior on December 6, 2012 at Berkshire Medical Center, Pittsfield.

Born to Peter and Frances (Kudlacik) Kurdziel on December 8, 1925 in Wallington, N.J. Toddy spent much of her childhood in Chicopee, Mass. There, she attended local schools, participated in many organizations, made good friends, and graduated from Holy Name High School in Chicopee.

She was married May 28, 1949 in St. Stanislaus Basilica in Chicopee to the late and beloved Edward J. Bury, making her way to Adams where she would spend the rest of her life. She retired in 1989 from Waverly Fabrics, division of F. Schumacher & Co. where she served customers to assist them with their home fashions needs.

She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. Among her many enjoyments, she most cherished her grandchildren and so enjoyed bragging about their accomplishments. She very much enjoyed spending time on Cape Cod with her brother and her sister-in-law. Toddy leaves two sons, Donald and his wife Janice of Adams, and Richard of Attleboro, Mass. She also leaves her grandchildren, Gregory and Olivia Bury of Adams, Marie Bury of Chestnut Hill, Mass., Brittany and Amie Bury of Attleboro, Mass., and Brittany's fiance William Gale of Cheshire, MA. Toddy also leaves a brother, Stanley Kurdziel and sister-in-law Constance of Holyoke, Mass.

She was predeceased by her son Edward F. Bury, a brother Edward Kurdziel, a sister Florence Kurdziel and daughter-in-law Anne Bury.

FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral will be on Monday, December 10, at 10 a.m. from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, celebrated by Rev. Daniel J. Boyle, Pastor.

Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Adams.

Calling hours are Sunday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
