Todd Vincent Quail

1967 - 2012 PITTSFIELD Todd Vincent Quail, 45, died suddenly at his home on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012.

He was born in Pittsfield to Richard and Judith Quail of Hinsdale on Sept. 29, 1967. Todd attended Kittredge School, where he held the Pull-up record which is still in existence. He was a member of the Hinsdale Little League; also on the Wahconah Regional High School Cross Country Ski Team and was a young member of the Hinsdale Fire Dept. He graduated from Nessacus Middle School and then from Wahconah Regional High School in 1985. Todd worked at Crane & Co. for 22 years. He was a Thread Tender in the Currency Division. Previously, he had been employed for Scalise & Kynsh, Steve Perry Tree and most recently he worked with Mike Fahey.

Todd was an avid sportsman, riding his Snowmobile with the Savoy Kanary Kats Snowmobile Club. In his youth, he raced dirt bikes and now had found great comfort and happiness riding his dirt bike alone on country roads. Todd enjoyed fishing in the spring and summer and also ice fishing in the winter months. His biggest joy was deer hunting with a bow or shotgun, along with his dad and brother Rick. He belonged to the Windsor Rod and Gun Club.

Todd was a quiet soul who loved life, his family, friends and of course his toys.

Besides his parents, he is survived by his son, Jacob Cody Quail of Pittsfield; his brother, Richard K. Quail Jr. and Richard's fiancee Tina Nataro of Hinsdale; his sister, Robin L. Hathaway and her husband, Mark Hathaway of Dalton; Todd's beloved nephews, Mark Hathaway Jr. of Dalton, Brandin Quail of Washington, Ryan Quail of Hinsdale; his niece Christie Hathaway of Dalton and his 98-y-ear old grandmother, Esther Fee of Lee, and his sister-in-law, Becky Quail.

He was predeceased by his grandfather, Vincent J. Fee, who died in 1988.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Todd Quail will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Congregational Church in Hinsdale, with Pastor Carolyn Peck officiating. Burial will follow in Maple Street Cemetery, Hinsdale. Calling hours will be held today (Tuesday) from 4 to 7 p.m. at BARTLETT WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME.
