Stella Lisewski

Stella Boraski Lisewski 1914-2011 GARDNER MA Stella Boraski Lisewski, 96, of 50 Rosewood Drive, Gardner, Mass., died Thursday at the Life Care Center of Leominster. A longtime resident of Dalton, she had also resided at one time in Marian Oaks, Fla., and Whatley, Mass. She was born in Pittsfield, on October 6, 1914, the daughter of the late John and Katherine Koziol. She was educated in Pittsfield schools and was a graduate of the former Berkshire Business College. Her first husband, the late Elek C. Boraski died in March of 1958. Her second husband, the late Stanley V. Lisewski died in June of 2000. Mrs. Lisewski was employed as a secretary for many years at Crane & Company in Dalton. After her marriage to her husband Stanley she moved to Whatley, Mass., and then to Florida. She was a communicant of St. Agnes Church in Dalton and a past member of the Women's Club of Pittsfield. She had also belonged to various church organizations in the Berkshire's and in Florida. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, gardening, reading and a variety of crafts. She also enjoyed dancing and loved her dog "Rupert". She leaves her daughter with whom she had resided for many years; Barbara A. Vosburgh of Gardner, Mass. A son; Charles G. Boraski and his wife Barbara of Lenox, Mass. Four grandchildren; Christopher Boraski, Kathleen Williams, Deborah Larson and Catherine Vosburgh. She also leaves her eight great grandchildren; Jillian Boraski, Zachary Williams, Sarah Williams, Ryan Boraski, Elek Larson, Tristan Larson, Merik Larson and Erik Larson Jr. as well as a number of nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two sisters; Alice Ugles and Pauline Gromacki and by her brother; the late William Koziol. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Stella Boraski Lisewski, 96, who died January 13, 2011, will be held Monday, January 17th at 11 a.m. at St. Agnes Church, 489 Main Street, Dalton celebrated by the Rev. Christopher Malatesta, pastor. Burial will take place in the spring in Fairview Cemetery in Dalton. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Stella may be made to the Life Care Center of Leominster Activity Fund in care of the DERY-FOLEY FUNERAL HOME, 890 Main Street, Dalton, MA 01226 which is in charge of arrangements.
