George William Wilde
George William Wilde, 78, died peacefully at High Lawn Farm on June 18, 2013 with his wife and daughters by his side. Mr. Wilde was the son of Col. H. George Wilde and Marjorie Field Wilde of Lenox. He graduated from the Lenox Boy's School,
, BA and Harvard Business School, MBA, and served for two years as a 1st Lieutenant in the
United States Marine Corps
. He was an international investor and executive with business interests in North and South America.
Mr. Wilde was a resident of Key Biscayne, Florida and the owner and proprietor of High Lawn Farm in Lee, MA. In recent years he spent his time on a major restoration project at High Lawn, and it is the family's expectation that the dairy farm operations will be continued.
Mr. Wilde leaves his wife Fanny Uruena Wilde and two daughters, Emily Essie and Jennifer Eia, a brother, Peter Osgood Wilde, and four sisters, Mary Carswell, Lila Berle, Nancy Hahn and Alice Field.
Funeral arrangements were private.
