1962 - 2016 DALTON Aaron James MacArthur, 54, of North Street died Sunday, February 14th at Berkshire Medical Center after suffering a heart attack. Born in Boston on February 10, 1962 to James MacArthur and the late Francis Bearce MacArthur, he attended Brookline Schools. He went on to earn his Bachelor's degree in Economics and Marketing at Dartmouth College in 1985. After graduation, Aaron worked in the Boston area in Sales and Marketing for various companies, most recently as a Sales Representative for Direct Mail Marketing until becoming disabled. Mr. MacArthur enjoyed reading and educating himself about all Christian Religions. He was a Boston Red Sox fan and also routed for the Boston Bruins. Aaron and his wife enjoyed nights out at the theater. He was a communicant of St. Stephen's Church in Pittsfield and St. Agnes Church in Dalton. Aaron and his wife, Patricia Conway MacArthur, formerly of Turners falls, were married July 11, 2011 in Pittsfield at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church. Besides his wife of Dalton and his father of Lenox, Mr. MacArthur leaves three siblings: Demetrius MacArthur of Salem, MA, Melissa MacArthur of Mattapan, MA, and Patricia MacArthur of Dalton, MA. He is predeceased by his mother, Francis Bearce MacArthur and a step-bother, Jeffrey. SERVICES: A celebration of the life of Mr. Aaron James Macarthur who died February 14, 2016 will be held Thursday, February 18th at 1p.m. at Roche Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Van Ausdell, Pastor of First Congregational Church UCC in Great Barrington, officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Elmwood Cemetery in Great Barrington. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in Aaron's memory may be made to Food for the Poor in care of the Roche Funeral Home, 120 Main Street, Lenox, MA 01240.
