Agnes Vanuni

1930 - 2014 NORTH ADAMS Mrs. Agnes Frances (Lynch) Vanuni, 84 of 4 Woodlawn Ave. died Sunday Aug. 17, 2014 at Berkshire Medical Center. She was born in North Adams, on May 18, 1930, daughter of Francis and Mary (Burke) Lynch. She attended North Adams schools and graduated from Drury High School with the class of 1947. Agnes was first employed with the former Wall-Streeter Shoe Co and later with Berkshire Fine Spinning. She was last employed by the former Sprague Electric Co. for 43 years until her retirement in 1993. She was a communicant of Our Lady of the Incarnation Church. She was a member of the Sprague Quarter Century Club and the Sprague Retirees. Agnes enjoyed bingo. Survivors include two sons, Mark W. Vanuni and Jon M. Vanuni, both of North Adams. She also leaves six grandchildren including Tammy Vanuni, Kris Vanuni, Joseph Vanuni, Kerry Vanuni, Jennifer Vanuni, and Jordan Vanuni; and six great-grandchildren including Shelby O'Neil, Kalley Vanuni, Khloe Vanuni, Jocelyn Duhamel, Noah Brayman, and Michael Vanuni; and nieces and nephews. She was the widow of Carl Louis Vanuni who died on July 3, 2011. They were married on May 22, 1948. Two brothers and one sister are deceased including Mary Edgerton, James Lynch, and John Lynch. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday Aug. 19, 2014 at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Southview cemetery. Calling hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, are Tuesday morning from 9 - 10:30 a.m. Memorial donations may be to the North Adams Commons Activities Fund in care of the funeral home.
