Albert J. Lambert Jr.

1931-2014 PITTSFIELD Albert J. Lambert Jr., 82, of 1 Daniels Avenue died Saturday at home surrounded by his loving family. Born on December 10, 1931 in Lincoln, Rhode Island he was a son of the late Albert J. Lambert Sr. and the late Jeannette Gormand Lambert. He had resided in Pittsfield for over sixty years. He was educated in Rhode Island schools where he graduated from high school. After his graduation he enlisted in the United States Army where he served during World War II. He was employed for many years as a welder for Berkshire Bridge & Iron of Dalton and as a truck driver for Lipton Energy and Pittsfield Sand & Gravel. He retired in 2005. Mr. Lambert was a communicant of St. Joseph Church. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He leaves his wife, Anna Siegmund Lambert of Pittsfield whom he married on April 13, 1955 in Germany. Three daughters; Kathy Pemble and her husband Gary Pemble Sr. of Lanesboro, Debra Vigna and her husband Anthony of Pittsfield and Shirley Kokindo and her husband Wayne of Hinsdale. His son; Albert J. Lambert III of Pittsfield and a brother; George Lambert and his wife Nina of Pawtucket, RI. Two sisters; Barbara Ward and her husband Robert of Pawtucket, RI and Carol Ropazzo of Pawtucket, RI. He was the proud grandfather of his seven grandchildren; Gary Pemble Jr. and his wife Caitlin Bates Pemble, Jeannette Lambert, Anthony Vigna Jr., Thomas Vigna, Amanda Vigna, Wayne Kokindo Jr., and Keith Kokindo. He also leaves several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister; the late Phyllis Brown. FUNERAL NOTICE: At Mr. Lambert's request there will be no calling hours or services. Burial will be private. Memorial donations in memory of Albert may be made to Hospice Care in the Berkshires in care of the DERY FUNERAL HOME, 54 Bradford St. Pittsfield, MA 01201 which is handling arrangements.
