Albert J. Noble

1936 - 2015 STOCKBRIDGE Albert J. Noble, 78, of Park St., died Tuesday at his home. He was born in Pittsfield on Nov. 1, 1936 the son of Edmund and Lavina Fisher Noble. He was educated in the Stockbridge Schools and was 1955 graduate of the former Williams High School. As a teenager he worked at his father's hardware store, Schilling and Noble Hardware on Main St. which is now the Williams Country Store. After graduation he served in the United States Navy aboard the ship Myles Fox from 1955 until 1958. After the service he worked at the Mead Paper Co. in South Lee in Quality Control retiring in 1997. He was a member of the Stockbridge Fire Co. He enjoyed fishing, gardening and being with the apple of his eye, his grandson, Carson. Al leaves his wife, the former Barbara A. Roosa, whom he married Sept. 6, 1969, his son, Edmund W. Noble and his wife, Mellonie of Stockbridge and his grandson, Carson J. Noble. He was predeceased by his daughter, Tammy, his brother, Alan and his sister, Ruth Wood. FUNERAL NOTICE: A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
