1918 - 2015 WETHERSFIELD, CT. Albert J. Zepka, 97, beloved husband of the late Maria (DeMilia) Zepka, passed away at home on June 6, 2015. He was born April 12, 1918 in Adams, MA the son of the late Jan and Aniela (Ptak) Zepka. He was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft for 38 years, and retired as an Industrial Engineer. Albert was a proud U.S. Army veteran, serving during WWII in the European Theater. He was a lifelong aviation and model airplane enthusiast, belonging to many model airplane clubs over the years. He had many other interests including horticulture, languages and history. However, Albert's greatest joy in life was his family. Albert is survived by his son, Gregory J. Zepka of Wethersfield and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son, Jan Albert Zepka; three brothers, Walter, Matthew and John Zepka and two sisters, Helena Ryczek and Mary Battory. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will leave Friday, June 12, 2015 at 9:15 a.m. from the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi-Church, Wethersfield. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Adams, MA. Calling hours are Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
