Albina Cirone

1920 - 2014 ADAMS Albina Cirone, 94, of 3 McKinley St., died Wednesday, July 16, 2014, at the Sweet Brook Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Williamstown. Born in Adams on May 14, 1920, daughter of Frank and Onorata Paradysz Bodzioch, she attended Adams schools and graduated from the former Adams High School in 1938. Albina was employed as a secretary for over 30 years for the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams, retiring in 1982. Albina was an avid reader, enjoyed crocheting and, in her younger years, playing golf. She was a member of the Sprague Electric Quarter Century Club and a 25-year member of the Taconic Golf Club in Williamstown. Albina first was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church until after her marriage when she became a communicant of the former St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Her husband, Albert J. Cirone, whom she married on Sept. 11, 1944, died June 8, 2009. She is survived by a son, Albert J. Cirone Jr. and his wife Nanci, of Lebanon, N.H.; a brother, Anthony Bodzioch of North Kingston, R.I., and several nieces and nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by five brothers, Leon, Bruno, Stanley, Joseph, and Emil Bodzioch. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Albina will take place Saturday, July 19, 2014, at 12 p.m. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church. Burial will follow in Southview Cemetery in North Adams. There will be no calling hours. Donations in her memory may be made to the Adams Ambulance Fund or Hospice Care in the Berkshires in care of the TROTTIER PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St.,Adams, MA. 01220, which is in charge of arrangements.
