Aldo Delmolino 1926-2012 CHESHIRE Aldo Delmolino, 85, of 115 Main Street, Cheshire, died Wednesday, May 30, 2012, at Fairview Commons in Great Barrington. Born in Postalesio, Province of Sondrio, Italy, on September 20, 1926, a son of Stefano and Lucia Delmolino Delmolino, he attended schools in Italy. He came to United States in March of 1953 and settled in Cheshire. A mason tender by trade, Mr. Delmolino worked in construction for Del Virgilio and Petricca construction companies, and for John Delmolino and Sons. He had also worked for Gypsum Company in Cheshire and General Electric Company in Pittsfield. Mr. Delmolino was a communicant of St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Cheshire. He was a former member of the Italian-American Club. Although work was his hobby, he enjoyed bocce and cards, gardening, and hunting. Mr. Delmolino leaves his wife, the former Zina Rosa Betolatti, whom he married October 20, 1951, in San Antonio Church in Postalesio, Italy. Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Paul D. Delmolino of Cheshire and Steven A. Delmolino and his wife, Bonnie, of Adams; two sisters, Ida Sondrini and Corrina Dalone, both of Postalesio, Italy; a granddaughter, Erin Paris, and two great granddaughters, Chiara and Jada Rose; as well as a former daughter-in-law, Bonnie T. Delmolino. He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Giovanni Delmolino and Cesare Delmolino, and three sisters, Natalina Delmolino, Lena Delmolino, and Maria Gandelli. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Aldo Delmolino will be held Monday, June 4, with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m., at St. Mary of the Assumption Church celebrated by Rev. David R. Raymond, Pastor. Burial will follow in Cheshire Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mr. Delmolino may be made to St. Mary of the Assumption Church, Berkshire Visiting Nurse Association, or to HospiceCare in The Berkshires in care of the DERY-CHESHIRE Funeral Home, P.O. Box 445, Cheshire. The family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to all those who cared for Dad at Berkshire Medical Center, Hillcrest Commons, Craneville Place, and Fairview Commons during his visits there.
