1927 - 2015 PITTSFIELD Alfred S. Bradley Sr., 87, of Sampson Parkway passed away June 25, 2015 at Berkshire Medical Center, following a brief illness. Born September 29, 1927 in Leadyard, NY the son of Charles A. and Grace B. Balcom Bradley, he was a graduate of Union Springs HS and received a BA in Geology from Acadia University in Nova Scotia. Alfred was a self-employed auto damage appraiser. He enjoyed stamp collecting, baseball, served as the commissioner of the Babe Ruth Baseball League for many years. He was a former city councilman of Ward 3 and served on the Berkshire County Regional Planning Board and the Pittsfield Planning Board. He attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Alfred leaves his wife the former Gene Scott, son, Scott Bradley and his wife, Karin of Pittsfield, Mark Bradley and his wife, June Wispelwey of Media, PA, Michael Bradley and his wife, Sarah of Greenville, SC, Paul Bradley and his wife, Kathy of Pittsfield, Peter Bradley of Pittsfield, grandchildren; Nicholaus, Christopher T., Kathryn, Keith, Kyle, Tyler, Christopher and great-granddaughter, Keira. He was predeceased by his son, Alfred Bradley Jr., brother, William Bradley and two sisters, Elizabeth and Margaret Frazier. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Mr. Alfred S. Bradley Sr., will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME, with the Rev. Peter Naranjo II, officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Peters Cemetery in Great Barrington, MA. Calling hours will be TODAY, TUESDAY, JUNE 30, 2015 before the service starting at 9 a.m. until the start of the service at 11 a.m. Donations in his memory may be made to Pittsfield Babe Ruth Baseball in care of the funeral home, 220 East St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
