Alice Ada Adams (Dellea)

1918 - 2015 LEE Alice Ada Adams (Dellea), 96, passed away peacefully at home Wednesday April 22. Born on Sept. 25, 1918 in Rutland Town Rutland, Vt.to Pearl and Ada Adams. She attended schools in Vermont and graduated from Bennington School of Nursing before moving to Gt. Barrington, where she was employed by Fairview Hospital. In 1942, she met and married Santino B. Dellea and moved to West Stockbridge where she raised her four children. Alice was also instrumental in implementing the hot lunch program for the West Stockbridge Village School, where she was the Manager of the program for many years. Predeceasing Alice is her husband, Santino; and her son, Santino A. "Sam" Dellea; her twin sister, Annis A. Holmes; and her five siblings. Surviving relatives are her three daughters, Nancy (Tim) Minkler, Carol Sutton, and Alice Gerow; and her best friend's daughter, Doreen Rushbrook; six grandchildren, Matthew Sutton, Rebecca Heath, Jeffrey Minkler, Andrew Minkler, Austin Gerow, and Jeremy Gerow; eight great-grandchildren, Nelson and Odin Sutton, Kaeleigh Heath, Alexis, William, Marion, Alice and Daniel Gerow; several nieces and nephews. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday April 25 at 12:30 p.m. at St. Patrick's Church in West Stockbridge. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Friday from 4 - 7 p.m. at the KELLY FUNERAL HOME in Lee. Friends wishing may donate in her memory to the or the in c/o the Kelly Funeral Home 3 Main Street Lee, MA 01238.
