Alice Rose Vincelette

1921-2012 ADAMS Alice Rose Vincelette, 91 formerly of 17 Pleasant St., died Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at the Mount Greylock Extended Care Facility in Pittsfield.

Born in Adams on May 15, 1921, she was the daughter of the late William J. and Julia Toupence Vincelette and attended Adams schools, graduating from the former Adams High School in 1939. Miss Vincelette worked for many years for the former American Telephone & Telegraph Co. as a long distance operator in both the Adams and North Adams office's retiring in 1976. Prior to that she worked for a short time for the former Arnold Print Works in Adams. In her younger years she was an avid knitter, enjoyed crocheting and later in life still enjoyed her crossword puzzles and TV programs.

She is survived by a sister in law, Shirley Vincelette of Deery, N. H., and formerly of Lenox, Ma., five nieces and several grandnieces and grandnephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Robert, William, and Richard Vincelette.

FUNERAL NOTICE: A grave side service and burial for Alice will take place Saturday, December 29, 2012 at 11 a.m. in Bellevue Cemetery in Adams, there are no calling hours. The TROTTIER PRINGLE FUNERAL HOME, 6 Summer St., Adams is in charge of arrangements.
