Alma Mary Belini Horonzy

1919 - 2015 CHESHIRE Alma Mary Belini Horonzy, 96, formerly of 22 Depot Street, died December 5, 2015 at Mount Carmel Care Center in Lenox, MA where she has resided for the past seven years. Born in the Farnams Section in the town of Cheshire on January 8, 1919 a daughter of Italian immigrants, Dominic and Delidia Montana Belini. She attended schools in Cheshire. A homemaker she had worked as a housekeeper in private family homes as well as the Rectory of Saint Mary of the Assumption Church. She was a communicant of Saint Mary of the Assumption Church and was a longtime member of its church choir. She was a member of the Cheshire Senior Center. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and reading. She was the wife of Edward R. Horonzy, Sr. whom she married on February 23, 1946 at Saint Mary of the Assumption Church; he died August 14, 1976. She is survived by a son, Edward R. Horonzy, Jr. of West Springfield, MA and by a daughter, Barbara E. Dryer and her husband, Richard of Oro Valley, Arizona. Four grandchildren, Joshua Dryer and his wife, Mary, Danielle Dryer and her wife, Kara, Kyle Horonzy and his wife, Jess and Daniel Horonzy, One great-grandson, Ami Edward Dryer. Shye was predeceased by four brothers, Natale, Biagio, Albert and Aldo Belini and by two sisters, Lena Sondrini and Elizabeth Horton. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services will be held Friday, January 8, 2016 with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11a.m. at Saint Mary of the Assumption Church, celebrated by the Rev. Matthew Guidi, pastor. Burial will be in Cheshire Cemetery. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorials in her memory may be made to the in care of DERY-CHESHIRE FUNERAL HOME, 121 North State Road, Cheshire, MA 01225 which is handling arrangements.
