Alma Marie Bergeron Brazeau
1925-2012 NORTH ADAMS Mrs. Alma Marie Bergeron Brazeau, 87 of 4 Sterling Drive North Adams, died Wednesday January 2, 2013 at Williamstown Commons.
She was born in North Adams, on March 10, 1925, daughter of Alfred and Mary (Neville) Bergeron. She graduated from the former St. Joseph's High School.
Alma worked at Sprague Electric Co. for 20 years until her retirement She was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church. Alma enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Eldor G. "Pete" Brazeau, whom she married on September 2, 1946 in St. Francis Church. One daughter, Sandra Jean Descoteau of Adams, two granddaughters- Rebecca Whitaker and Lisa Odvar, and her husband, John. Four Great Grandchildren- Danielle and Joseph Whitaker; and Cameron and Aiden Odvar. She also leaves nieces and nephews.
Three brothers and two sisters are deceased including Rita Chenail, and Dorothy, Alfred, Raymond and Arthur Bergeron. Her son, James Brazeau died in 1959 and her daughter, Carol Rolnick died in 2010.
FUNERAL NOTICE: A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Alma Brazeau will be celebrated Tuesday January 8, 2013 at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will be in the spring in Southview Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
