Alma M. DuPuis

DALLAS, PA. Alma M. DuPuis, 99, passed away on Monday, June 30, 2014 at Mercy Center Personal Care in Dallas. Born in Pawtucket, R.I., to Louis J.G. Martelle and Agnes (Bissanlon) Martelle, Mrs. DuPuis graduated from Pawtucket High School in 1933 and attended Katherine Gibbs School for two years. Her first job was as a second secretary to Congressman Dean Risk in 1935 in Washington, D.C. She had been married to Edmund J. DuPuis for over 50 years and they made their home in Foxboro, Mass., for over 20 years. She retired to Nokomis, Fla., where they enjoyed the Florida beaches and motor homing. Mrs. DuPuis spent the last 10 years living with her daughter, Dorothy in New York and New Jersey and the past three years were spent in Mercy Center Personal Care in Dallas. She is survived by her two daughters, Dorothy Bent Graf and her husband, Joseph of Clarks Summit, Pa., and Carol Arnold and her husband, David, of Savannah, Tenn.; her four granddaughters, Christine Cullen and her husband, Mark of Cicero, N.Y., Kathy Annable and her husband, Daniel of Marcellus, N.Y., Rebecca Fletcher and her husband, Shannon of Ballston Spa, N.Y., and Danielle Jacobs and her husband, Richard of Marcellus; her grandson, Phillip Arnold of Peaks Island, Maine; and 12 great-grandchildren.
