Andrew R. Nylic

1930 - 2013 LANESBOROUGH Andrew R. Nylic, 82, of 19 Umbagog St., died Tuesday morning at home.

Born in Pittsfield on June 29, 1930, son of Andrew W. and Pauline Anne Rash Nylic, he was a graduate of Pittsfield High School.

He was employed in the construction industry for over 50 years. He later became employed at The Berkshire Eagle in the Circulation Dept., and later became an independent carrier.

A Marine veteran, he served in the Korean War.

Mr. Nylic was an avid outdoorsman. He was a communicant of St. Charles Church.

He leaves his wife, the former Elizabeth M. Clark, whom he married April 19, 1954 in St. Charles Church.

He also leaves two daughters Diane Cathryn Nylic Pavin (Robert) of Pittsfield and Cheryl Lyn Nylic Trzcinka (Bernard) of North Adams; a sister, Meredith Nylic Clemmons of Pittsfield; a granddaughter, Aprillee Pavin Mazzeo (Matt), and two great-grandsons Lukas and Ayden Mazzeo.

He was predeceased by a brother, Joseph W. Nylic, and by a sister, Shirley J. Nylic Marcel.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Andrew R. Nylic died April 23, 2013. Funeral services will be Saturday, April 27, at 8 a.m. from the DWYER FUNERAL HOME with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. in St. Charles Church, celebrated by the Rev. Michael C. Lillpopp. Calling hours will be at the Dwyer Funeral Home will be Friday, April 26, from 4 to 6 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Care in the Berkshires or to Berkshire County Jimmy Fund care of the FUNERAL HOME, 776 North St. Pittsfield, MA 01201
