Angelo Panetti Obituary
Angelo Paul Panetti

1931 - 2013 PITTSFIELD Angelo Paul Panetti, of 16 Spencer St., in the Lakewood section of Pittsfield. Born in Pittsfield on May 23, 1931, the son of Ignatius and Maria Cencia Panetti. He attended Pittsfield schools. In his early years, Mr. Panetti worked at the former Pocket Book Factory, Tablecloth Factory, Sheaffer Eaton and later, as a test man in General Electric's Power Transformer Department. He also worked in General Electric Ordinance Division in process pack, retiring with a medical disability in 1985. He lovingly took care of his mother when she was very ill and his father when he became ill at the end. He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and had been a communicant of the former Mount Carmel Church. He enjoyed his home, yard, and gardening. He was always looking for ways to help people who needed it, even when his own health was failing. He leaves three sisters, Theresa Garzone of Pittsfield, who made her home with him, Frances Lucaroni of Dalton, and Sr. Angelina Panetti, M.P.V., of the Venerini Sisters, Leominster. He also leaves several nieces and nephews whom he enjoyed so much while they were growing up. They will always cherish the time they spent with Uncle "Ungie" because he always made that time so much fun and always made each of them feel special. He was predeceased by two brothers, Carmen Panetti and Alexander Panetti, and by five sisters, Prudy DiGrigoli, Nicolina Serra, Eva Carroll, Jennie Gilardi and Viola Rotti. Angelo battled Hairy Cell Leukemia for over 30 years and his courage and positive outlook and sense of humor during it all will always be an inspiration to all who knew him and will be always remembered. He will be sadly missed by all his family and will be forever in our hearts. FUNERAL NOTICE: Services will be Friday, Jan. 3, 2014, at 10 a.m. from the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield, MA 01201.
