Ann Borsello Obituary
Ann Borsello

1943 - 2014 DALTON Ann (Alcombright) Borsello, 70, of Dalton, died Sunday, Jan. 12, 2014, at home with her family by her side. She was born in Pittsfield on April 2, 1943, a daughter of Valmore E. and Marion (Retallick) Alcombright. She graduated from Pittsfield High School in 1961. She trained as a laboratory technician at the former St. Luke's Hospital and BCC. She was employed by St. Luke's, BMC and Hillcrest Hospitals. She worked as a Diabetes Educator for BP&S for 30 years and then Berkshire County Jail and House of Correction. This brought her much joy as she felt she was able to help people with diabetes live successfully as she had since 1964. She was a member of the professional section of the American Diabetes Association and the American Association of Diabetes Educators. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and sang in the choral group for many years. She helped in the food pantry and kept busy with oil painting and crafts for most of her life. She enjoyed her exercise groups and the women she met in them. She leaves her husband, Angelo, whom she married on July 1, 1967. Great joy was given to her in the form of her family. She also leaves her son, Michael, and her daughter-in-law, Lisa, and her daughter, Jill, and son-in-law, Jason. Her eyes lit up when she was with her grandchildren, Jaylie and Angelo Borsello and Brayden Ash. She is survived by cousins, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, June (Alcombright) White and Gail Alcombright. FUNERAL NOTICE: A liturgy of Christian Burial will take place Friday, Jan. 17, 2014, at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church with the Rev. James K. Joyce, pastor, officiating (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH). Calling hours will be Thursday, Jan. 16, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the FLYNN & DAGNOLI-BENCIVENGA FUNERAL HOME, 5 Elm St., Pittsfield, MA. 01201.
