Anna B. Bachetti

1925 - 2013 SHEFFIELD Anna B. Bachetti, 87, of County Road, passed away Saturday, March 2, 2013, at Great Barrington Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Born June 29, 1925, in Canaan, Conn., the daughter of Ross and Mina Bayley Bailey, she was a graduate of New Marlborough High School.

Primarily a homemaker, along with caring for her family, Anna also worked various jobs over the years. She had worked at General Electric in Norfolk, Conn., in the cafeteria at Mount Everett Regional High School. She was an aide for Bachetti's Bus Company for 25 years as well as waitressing at various restaurants throughout the area.

Anna was very skilled at knitting, sewing and crocheting. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, playing cards and reading. Anna loved traveling, especially with her husband, Massimo. Together they liked visiting casinos and going to stock car races.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 69 years, Massimo Bachetti. The couple was married Feb. 4, 1944, in Manhattan, Kan. She also leaves her son, Richard Bachetti and his wife, Radiana, of Springfield; four grandchildren, Dennis Bachetti, Cristina Lender and Stefanie and Jason Wheeler, as well as many great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and other loving extended family members.

She was predeceased by her daughter, Rosalee Ann Bachetti, along with two sisters and three brothers.

FUNERAL NOTICE: In accordance with her wishes, a private burial will be held at Ashley Falls Cemetery in the spring. There will be no calling hours.

Anna's family would like to give a special thank you to her sister-in-law Annette Bachetti as well as the staff at Great Barrington Rehabilitation and Nursing Center for their loving care of Anna.
