Anna Bean

1914 - 2013 PITTSFIELD Anna Bean, 99, formerly of 42 Clarendon St., quietly went home on Friday, June 14, 2013.

Born in Pittsfield on June 1, 1914, the daughter of John and Bronislawa Zejewskich Nosek, she attended local schools.

Mrs. Bean worked at the former Berkshire Woolen Mill, then later as a sales clerk at Zayres Department Store, retiring in 1972.

Anna loved her flower beds, making afghans, and designing beaded wreaths and candy canes. Each item had to be boxed with appropriate "stickers" and bows.

She was a communicant of St. Joseph Church and a former communicant of Holy Family Church, where she was a member of the Rosary Sodality and attended many church functions. She leaves several nieces, nephews, a great-niece, great-great nieces, and great-great nephew.

The family would like to give many thanks and God's blessings to Mt. Greylock 1 South and rehab for the loving care and attention extended to Anna.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Anna Bean will be Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at 8:30 a.m. from the DWYER FUNERAL HOME with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, celebrated by Msgr. Michael Shershanovich, pastor. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours at the funeral home will precede the service from 8 to 8:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Berkshire VNA, the Association for the Blind or to the St. Joseph Church Parish Center, care of the Dwyer Funeral Home, 776 North St., Pittsfield MA 01201.
