Antonia DeLuca Canzano Obituary
Antonia DeLuca Canzano, affectionately called Toni, died at the age of 91, on April 15, 2018, in Los Angeles, CA. She was peaceful and surrounded by family. Toni, the daughter of the late Maria (DiPrimio) and Benetto Romasco, was born April 24, 1927 in Lettomanoppello, Italy. She immigrated to Pittsfield, MA as the young bride of Giovanti DeLuca, whom she married on July 18, 1946. This union was blessed with five children. Giovanti preceded her in death on November 30, 1969. She married Nello Canzano, a childhood friend from her Italian home town, in 1980. Nello preceded her in death in 1986.

Because of her generous spirit, she was loved by many and her influence will forever remain in the lives of all who knew her. She never met anyone she considered a stranger and she opened her home and kitchen to everyone. Toni used her talent as a seamstress to support her children when she was left a young widow. Her passion for food resulted in her owning and operating several restaurants in both Massachusetts and California.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the lives of her children: Peter DeLuca of Pittsfield, MA; Rosemary (Don) Counts of Port Orange, FL: Edward DeLuca of Los Angeles, CA; Ricco (Anisha) DeLuca of Newark, NJ; and Lilla (Kenn) DeLuca Barrett of Tombstone, AZ; her four grandchildren: Tony-Lyn (Chris) Takagi; Shawna DeLuca, Kristen DeLuca and Travis (Lisa) DeLuca; and three great grandchildren. Her sisters Giuseppina, Berenice, Lucia and Perina preceded her in death.

There will be a service on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at 9 AM at Sacred Heart Church, 191 Elm Street, Pittsfield, MA. Following the service, Toni will be interred with her late husband Giovanti at Saint Joseph's Cemetery. There will be a celebration of life at 11:30 at Mazzeo's Restaurant, 1015 South St, Pittsfield, MA. Friends are invited to attend the service and the celebration.
