Arthur J. Maino
1920-2014 WILLIAMSTOWN Arthur J. Maino a longtime resident of Williamstown died Friday March 7, 2014 at the Williamstown Commons. He was born in Williamstown on November 5, 1920 a son of the late Mario and Alice (Canepele) Maino. He graduated from the former Williamstown High School with the class of 1939. He was employed for several years at the H.D. Moore Co. in Williamstown and later for New England Lime Co. which is now Pfizer retiring with 27 years of service. Mr. Maino was a lifelong communicant of St. Patrick's Church where he was a minister of Hospitality. He also collected for the Catholic Charities and a blood donor. His wife Mabel (Godfrey) Maino whom he married November 16, 1940 in St. Patrick's Church died January 17, 2005. Survivors include his three children Jean Taylor and her husband Alan of Pownal, Vt., Linda Sweeney and her husband Charles of North Adams and David Maino and his wife Theresa of Elk Grove, Calif. Nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by four sisters Gelsomina "Jessie" DeMayo, Frederica Judge, Sylvia Phillips, Ida Trabold and two brothers Richard Maino and Norman Maino. FUNERAL NOTICE: A Memorial Mass to celebrate the life of Arthur Maino will be celebrated Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at St's Patrick and Raphael Church in Williamstown. Burial will take place in the spring. There are No Calling Hours. Memorial Donations are suggested for the St. Patrick Food Pantry through the Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, WEST CHAPELS, 521 West Main St. North Adams, Ma.
