Arthur O. Pelletier, Sr.

1928 - 2015 PITTSFIELD Arthur O. Pelletier Sr., 86, of Lucia Drive, passed away Feb. 5, 2015 at Berkshire Medical Center. Born Oct. 27, 1928 in Fall River, MA, he was the son of Arthur and Merilla Moreau Pelletier. He attended schools in Fall River and graduated St. Singnoy Provost and served in the Army during the Korean War; he then attended UMASS Dartmouth in Mechanical Engineering graduating in 1959. He was an engineer for G.E. Ordnance Systems for 30 years retiring in 1988. He was a member of the G.E. quarter century club, a member of Pontoosuc Lake Country Club; he enjoyed golf, bocce ball, and was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan. His wife the former Eleanor Smith whom he married Mar. 25, 1953 passed away Jun. 16, 2012. Survivors include three children, Linda Maynard and her husband, Michael of Cheshire, Joanne Aldam of Pittsfield, and Arthur Pelletier Jr., of Glenville, NY, and his life companion, Diane Melia, of Jewett, NY, grandchildren; Sandra and Kimberly Maynard of Manchester, NH, Jeffrey Pelletier of Glenville, NY, Stephanie Pelletier of Schenectady, NY, Christopher Robillard of Lanesboro, and three great-grandchildren; Lilianna, Daniela, and Jessenia. He also leaves his best friend and cribbage partner, Paul Charow of Pittsfield. FUNERAL NOTICE: Funeral services for Arthur O. Pelletier Sr. will be held at WELLINGTON FUNERAL HOME 220 EAST STREET PITTSFIELD MA 01201 on Feb. 11, 2015 at 11 a.m., burial will follow at the Pittsfield Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015 at 10 a.m., until the time of the service at 11 a.m. The Rev. Rick Hayes of Hospice Care in the Berkshires will officiate.
