Audrey Jo Furgal "Audie" 1943-2012 LEE Audrey "Audie" Furgal, 68, of Golden Hill Rd. in Lee, passed away after a long illness on Saturday at her home. She was born in New Rochelle, N.Y., on November 6, 1943 the daughter of Frederick and Morton Wells Scofield. She attended Pleasantville High School in Pleasantville, N.Y. and graduated from the American School of Paris in Paris, France. In 1966 she graduated from the University of Vermont. After her marriage to Joseph A. Furgal Jr. on November 26, 1966 she moved to Lee. She worked as a secretary for a number of years at the Austin Riggs Foundation in Stockbridge for various Doctors, later as secretary for the Lee Conservation Commission and most recently worked in retail sales at Talbot's in Lenox Audie enjoyed reading, exercising, playing tennis, and spending time with her family, grandchildren and her many friends. She was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous for over 30 years. She was a past member of the Lee Conservation Commission and the Country Club of Pittsfield. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and a volunteer at the St. Mary's School Kitchen. Besides her husband of over 45 years she leaves her daughter Tobey A. Simone and her husband Michael Simone Jr. of Lee, two brothers John Scofield and his companion Tina Camporeale of White Planes, N.Y., and Clinton Scofield and his wife JoAnne of McKinney, Texas; her four grandchildren Lena, Lydia, Jenna and Ella; one nephew Brad Scofield and his wife Kendra of McKinney, Texas. She was predeceased by her nephew Andrew Scofield. FUNERAL NOTICE: The Funeral for Audie will be held Wednesday morning Jan 18th at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Lee, with the Rev. John K. Sheaffer, pastor, officiating. The family will receive friends at the Kelly Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 to 7.
