She was born on May 10, 1928 in Adams, the daughter of Roy Franklin Carpenter and Ethel Margaret Taylor Carpenter, and grew up in Adams graduating from Adams High School with the Class of 1946. Barbara married her beloved husband Donald Moore Cady on August 6, 1949 at the First Congregational Church in Adams, MA. Together they shared a great love of music and met while she was singing and he was playing in local bands during the 1940's and 1950's. He passed away on September 5, 2003 in Chandler, AZ. She was employed by Sprague Electric Company, Adams Town Hall, and the Adams/ North Adams Welfare Department retiring in 1984 after which she and her husband moved to Sun Lakes, AZ. Barbara was very active in her churches both in Adams and Arizona, singing in the choir, teaching Sunday School, serving as a Deaconess, and on various other committees throughout her life. Words used by those who knew her would be: sweet, humble, meek, kind, loving, giving, and funny. Barb always put others before herself. We are so thankful for the love and tender care she received from her loving Daughter-in-Love, Karen Cady who has been both a loving daughter and loving caregiver for the past few years. She will be remembered fondly and terribly missed by all who knew her. MEMORIAL SERVICES: Will be held Sunday, February 28th, 2:30p.m. at The Congregational Church of the Valley, 240 S.
