Barbara Ann Crockwell Raymond 1933-2011 ADAMS Mrs. Barbara Ann Crockwell Raymond, 78 of 116 Howland Ave. Adams, died Wednesday December 7, 2011 at North Adams Regional Hospital. She was born in North Adams, on July 24, 1933, daughter of William Crockwell and Margaret (McGinnis) Crockwell Richards. She attended the former St. Joseph's Parochial School. Barbara was primarily a homemaker to her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and crocheting and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was the widow of Donald R. Raymond who died on February 29, 1980. They were married on June 17, 1950. Survivors include two daughters- Laurie A. Skorupski and Diane L. Moran and her husband, Terence, all of Adams, three sons- Donald R. Raymond Jr. of Adams, with whom she made her home; Thomas J. Raymond Sr., and his wife, Carol of Cheshire; and John A. Raymond and his wife, Sandy of North Adams. Ten Grandchildren- Thomas and Derek Raymond of Cheshire; Amber Mike, and Brian Skorupski; Cammie and Abbie Moran, all of Adams; Jennifer, Lisa, and Shane Raymond of North Adams. Seven Great Grandchildren- Emilie, David, Ethan Raymond; Tatianna and Yasmine Raymond; Alyssa, Ammar, and Anthony Skorupski. She also leaves a sister, Mary Mekdeci of Adams and nieces and nephews. A sister and two brothers are deceased including Margaret Falco, James and Thomas Crockwell. FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Barbara Raymond will be held Monday December 12, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational Church of Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery. Calling hours at FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, MA are Sunday from 2 to 5 p.m.
