She was born in Pittsfield, Oct. 4, 1947, the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret E. Cannon Coffey. A 1965 graduate of Pittsfield High School, she attended the former Berkshire Business College prior to her enrollment at Berkshire Community College at the original campus on Second St. A graphic designer by profession, she was employed initially at the American Broadcasting Co. which was located in Gt. She later became employed as an executive secretary to "Teddie" Lauren of Lauren Publishing Co. Most recently, together with her husband, Eric, they owned and operated the Villanova Cleaning Service for the past 30 years. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Eric P. Villanova. When her health allowed, she was known as the caregiver amongst her family. An "arm chair gardener," she enjoyed purchasing and giving gifts to her entire family and friends. Chosen as Miss Pittsfield in her early years, she enjoyed being crowned the Winter Carnival Queen in Feb. 1967. In addition to being devoted to her husband, she adored her nephews, who she and her husband took on vacation for many years. She is also survived by her brother, Robert Coffey of Stephentown, N.Y.; her sister-in-law, Virginia A. Sample, and her husband, Robert Cameron, of West Stockbridge; and several additional nieces and nephews.
