1931 - 2015 PITTSFIELD Bernadette Marie Hagadorn, 84, of 43 Joan Drive, died Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at her home. Born in Pittsfield on May 10, 1931, the daughter of Archibald and Jane Moran Herrick, she was a graduate of St. Joseph Central High School and Berkshire Business College. Primarily a homemaker, Mrs. Hagadorn did, at one time, work for Crane & Company, Inc., and for General Electric Company. She had also been a caregiver for the elderly in their homes. Mrs. Hagadorn was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church and had also attended St. Joseph Church. She enjoyed music and musical shows on television. She also enjoyed going to the casinos. Her husband, Peter E. Hagadorn, whom she married September 10, 1955, at St. Agnes Church in Dalton, died March 27, 2008. Mrs. Hagadorn is survived by a daughter, Jennifer A. Brendle and her husband, Douglas, of Westminster, Colo., a son, Peter J. Hagadorn, of Pittsfield; four grandchildren; Jessica Strange and her husband, Dillon, Stephanie Hagadorn, Tim Brendle and his wife, Rocio, and Kevin Brendle; and four great-grandchildren; Jack, Kate, Ryan, and Nathan. She also leaves many beloved nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters, Mary Jane Daly and Patricia Moynihan. FUNERAL NOTICE: Calling hours for Bernadette M. Hagadorn will be Friday, May 15, from 4 to 7 p.m. at DERY FUNERAL HOME in Pittsfield. Funeral services for Bernadette M. Hagadorn will be held Monday, May 18, at 10:15 a.m., from DERY FUNERAL HOME with a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church celebrated by the Rev. Peter M. Naranjo, II., Parochial Vicar. Burial will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care in The Berkshires in care of the funeral home, 54 Bradford Street, Pittsfield.
