Bernard Roland Lively

1927-2012 WILLIAMSTOWN Mr. Bernard Roland Lively, 84, of 19 Danforth St. Williamstown, died Friday, July 27, 2012 at Williamstown Commons.

He was born in Heath, Mass., on December 9, 1927, son of Roland A. and Marie-Reine (Choquette) Lively. He attended local schools. Bernard was a veteran of World War II and served in the US Army. He was last employed by RI Baker Co. for over 20 years.

He was a communicant of St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church and the former Holy Family Church. He was a Cub Scout Leader in Williamstown. Bernard enjoyed playing the guitar and played in local nursing homes.

Survivors include his wife, the former Rita Lamarre, whom he married in 1946; one daughter, Lynn Lampiasi of North Adams. two sons, Mark J. Lively of West Palm Beach, Fla., and Bernard D. Lively of Bennington, Vt.; two grandchildren, Matthew Lampiasi and Chad Lampiasi; one great -grandson, Anthony Lampiasi; one sister, Mary Blackstone of Lyden, Mass.; three brothers, Hormidas Lively of Greenfield, Thomas Lively of Heath, and Michael Lively of North Adams; nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews.

Four brothers are deceased including Maurice, Levi, Felix, and Paul.

FUNERAL NOTICE: The funeral for Bernard Lively will be Saturday , August 4, 2012 at 10:15 a.m. from FLYNN & DAGNOLI-MONTAGNA HOME FOR FUNERALS CENTRAL CHAPEL, 74 Marshall St. North Adams, Mass. followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Church. Burial will follow in Westlawn Cemetery in Williamstown. Calling hours at the funeral home are Friday from 5 to 8 p.m.
