Bernard "Bud" Riley

Bernard "Bud" Riley, 79, died at his home in Williamstown, on August 17th. He was surrounded by his wife, Phyllis, their six children, Jeanne Marie, William, Joanne, Kathleen, Regina and Donna, along with their families and friends. He is also survived by a Sister, Lorraine Meenan, a brother, Edwin Riley, and six Grandchildren. Born in New York City, Bud graduated from Fordham University and became a Certified Public Accountant. He moved his family to the Berkshires in 1971, and created his own accounting practice in Pittsfield, Murphy, Riley and Haddad, which developed into Lombardi, Clairmont and Keegan. Bud was always community-minded, devoting time to AARP, Rotary, Friends of the Library (Williamstown), Family and Children Services, Willinet and other organizations. Spending time with family, playing tennis and flying planes were central to his life. Bud was not only bright and quick, but always kind, calm and caring. His presence was greatly appreciated by all who knew him. FUNERAL NOTICE: A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, September 29th from 2pm - 4pm at 930 Main Street, Lanesboro, MA. All who wish to celebrate this life well spent are encouraged to attend.
